This past week our lecture was on the “Father Heart of God,” and what a wonderful week it turned out to be. Our teacher was Kim, from the YWAM Hurlach base in Germany. All of our hands got a workout searching through the Bible as every point that Kim taught had a scripture at its root. This made the lecture very easy to follow, and I tip my hat to Kim for providing an incredibly deep teaching on the love that our Father has for us. Here are a few of my favorite verses discussed during the lecture:
Psalm 139:13-14 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Psalm 2: 7-8 I will proclaim the decree of the Lord: He said to me, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father. Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.”
John 1: 12-13 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God — children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
What a tremendous blessing it is to know that God loves us, delights in us, and has created us as his children — to be heirs in the kingdom of heaven. :)
